A Summer Day
Vincent Chai (Age 8)
The fiery red sun on a hot day
Reptiles rest on a log, squirrels eating nuts
As we buy watermelons to eat, cooling down
The sparkles of the sun, it shines through me
I walked into the deep, dark woods
Closing my eyes, listening to birds chirp a song
As I opened them, I see animal paradise
Monkey swinging in the trees, snakes slithering on the ground
And I enjoy the fresh, warm breeze
As I lay down on the soft green grass
I see shades of orange, pink, and purple
Creating the beautiful sunset
I watched the sky turn slowly black, into a lovely night.
