April Fools

On this day, April the first,
Come all the good pranks, and all of the worst.
Some bugs in your food during your dinner,
Fake trophies that make you think you're the winner.

Shocking gum and rubber snakes,
Plastic poop hidden inside a cake.
Prank dollar bills are quite funny,
Tricking people to think it's real money.

Fake love letters copied by hand,
And fake notes claiming to own your land.
April Fools is pretty nice,
Till you see fake bugs in your rice.

Playing pranks is a lot of fun,
But don't be sad when it's done.
You can take out your pencil and start to write,
And celebrate National Poetry Month all through April nights.
