Buddha Nature

A new car that gleams sparkles with style,
Convinces me that life is worthwhile.
But if it were to break down tomorrow,
Should I laugh or cry in pain and sorrow?

Beneath the Benjamin leaves, I find shade,
Covering my body from head to toe.
But if Autumn comes and blows them away tomorrow,
Should I laugh or cry in pain and sorrow?

From time to time, I check my reflection,
To see if beauty has gained any perfection.
But if my skin dries and wrinkles tomorrow,
Should I laugh or cry in pain and sorrow?

Laugh because nothing lasts forever
Like all in the universe, subject to ever-changing weather
Look deep at the treasures within your heart
There lies true happiness, Buddha nature.
