Dancing in the Moonlight
Christina Zhou
Muted red and orange leaves sway and
scatter ‘neath the willow tree.
Raindrops sprinkle lightly on the soft spring sward
where I peacefully lie.
Tiny droplets soak into the soil;
moonlight catching on crystalline dew,
shining softly in the night.
The eyes of light in the sky blink open and close,
hypnotizing me during the moonrise glow.
Attention slowly wanders up to your face
until we're kissing and slow dancing in the moonlight,
whispering secrets that only we can keep.
scatter ‘neath the willow tree.
Raindrops sprinkle lightly on the soft spring sward
where I peacefully lie.
Tiny droplets soak into the soil;
moonlight catching on crystalline dew,
shining softly in the night.
The eyes of light in the sky blink open and close,
hypnotizing me during the moonrise glow.
Attention slowly wanders up to your face
until we're kissing and slow dancing in the moonlight,
whispering secrets that only we can keep.
