Drowning in nice flowers
Enoch Shin
I gasp.
Flower petals slice and wrap me in their grasp.
Cherry blossoms and Hyacinth flowers laugh at me as I collapse.
They devour my blood.
They flood my veins till I'm drugged.
They're pollen attacks my skin in flames like salt with a slug.
My mind spins and my body feels rooted and stuck.
People walk past, look and shrug.
Everyone thinks they're sure I can just be ‘un-drugged'.
Yet to my luck.
They don't care for my screams and cries.
Just because
The flowers are nice
