"Freya! Are you going to the winter ball tonight?" said Luna even though she knew what the answer was.

"I'm not going to no stupid ball Luna. I have work to do." Actually, she did not have any work to do but needed a quick excuse.

"Come on Freya, don't be such a diva. It won't kill you to have fun from time to time."

"No, remember how it was the last time we went to a party together. You were out of control, you got so drunk I had to take care of you the whole night. I'm not gonna be your babysitter again."

"But that was one time! I promise I won't let it happen again. Just please go with me, You would be the bestest friend ever!"

Freya looked at Luna who was on the floor begging at this point, she imagined how happy it would make her if she went so she decided to give in.

"Fine, but just this one time" said Freya with a sigh.

"Yay! Thank you so much, I'm going to make you look amazing! It's a masquerade ball by the way. Now let's go shopping!"

When they come home from shopping, they put their new dresses on, do their makeup, and finally put their masks on.

"Oh my god, You look absolutely stunning." said Luna as Freya gave a little twirl.

"Thanks I guess, don't get used to this by the way. I'm only doing this once." Freya still did not want to go but seeing how good she looked in the dress, she was getting a little excited.

It was beautiful, it was like looking at the night sky. Midnight blue with stars and detailed lining at the bottom. She wore a moon shaped mask that showed off her lovely eyes.

"Okay fine, are you ready to go? The ball starts at ten. We need to hurry up."

"Yeah, let's go to the car." As they were leaving, she waited until Luna was out the door then grabbed two daggers and put them in her corset. She was always prepared.

After driving for a bit they finally show up to the venue and go inside. It was packed to the brim with people. As they were walking in, everyone paused and took a moment to look at Freya. Watching her as a predator would with its prey. She kept walking and eventually everyone stopped staring at her but she could still feel someone's eyes on her.

When she looked to her side, Luna wasn't there anymore. She suspected that she went to go get some food or something but when she called her cell, Luna didn't pick up. As Freya started to get worried BANG a gunshot echoes within the venue.

Everyone starts to scream and panic. They run away so frantically that Freya gets pushed with them.

"LUNA! LUNA WHERE ARE YOU" Freya is yelling at the top of her lungs but she can't hear or see Luna.

She pushes through the crowd and runs to where the gunshot came from.

And there, dead on the ground, is Luna.

Freya sinks to her knees while mumbling "No, no. This can't be happening. Luna, please, please come back" She shakes Luna but still no response.

With tears streaming down her face she looks around trying to find the culprit. She spots someone wearing all black and what appears to be a gun in their hand.

"You...you shot my best friend."

He starts to run away but Freya gets up and runs after him. She rips half her dress off and pulls the daggers from her corset.

"You won't get away from me!" She throws one of the daggers and it hits his right arm, slowing him down.

She gains more speed and is about to catch up to him but unexpectedly he falls to the ground. Freya takes her other dagger and puts it to his neck.

"Why, why did you do it! She did nothing to you. Nothing!" She says while crying.

And all the man said was "Because I felt like it."

At that moment, Freya became a murderer.
