Kiwi and Mango
Melody Kwan
One day, on a sunny morning on Grasshopper Island, Kiwi the ice cream ant and Mango the ice cream ant started traveling to Fruit Paradise.
Kiwi and Mango were also going to stop by Fruity Waters because Kiwi and Mango liked swimming and playing in it. Kiwi and Mango used a boat to get across Orange Lake, and then they docked the boat at Butterfly Dock. Then Kiwi and Mango walked half a mile then stopped at Fruity Waters. It was a great day to go swimming in Fruity Waters because it was a sunny day. But then, Kiwi realized that she forgot her swim suit! So, Kiwi sadly watched Mango play and swim in the river. After Mango was done swimming and playing they walked another half a mile and got to Fruit Paradise.
When Kiwi and Mango got there, they were amazed by all the fruits there and wanted to try some because they were known for having sweet, delicious fruits. When Kiwi wanted to buy some fruits, she realized that she forgot to bring money! So Mango had to lend Kiwi some money so that she could buy some fruits. After eating the fruits they went to a restaurant to eat lunch. Kiwi and Mango ordered a soup appetizer, spaghetti as the main course, and ice cream pie for dessert. After they were done eating, Mango had to paid for their lunch and since Kiwi forgot her wallet, she felt really bad.
After that Kiwi checked and it was almost time to go, so Kiwi went to the local gift shop to buy a souvenir. She really loved the crystal statue displayed at the front window. Then she remembered that since she forgot her wallet she didn't have money to pay for it! So Mango, being a good friend, lent her some money, and Kiwi bought the crystal status.
After they returned home Kiwi put the crystal status on the dining table. It was a long day and Kiwi realized that she had learnt a valuable lesson. Kiwi had learnt that next time she travels somewhere, she should make a list of things to pack and to also check that she has everything she needs so that she can enjoy the trip.
