Lavender Memories

Your lavender scent blew through my open car windows one spring afternoon,
Washing all my worries away in a waft of perfume.  In the light whisper of the wind,
I heard your tinkling laughter in the soft jingles of wind chimes.
Like the morning dew or the smell of petrichor,
you were a refreshing oasis.
Even standing in a field of flowers,
Your bright smile eclipsed the most radiant sunflower.
As I look through the window,
I see each flower petal drifting through the wind
Etched with warm memories.
