Seeds, Entwined

The breeze cools my furious skin
Fighting with myself beneath the surface
I long to breathe clearly.

A chatty stream of clean, clear water
Soothes my soul
and I am lulled
Despite my dry, darting thoughts.

The crackling fire of community protects me
I am lost without the light
frozen without its heat—
Until I see a spark.

The living earth beneath my feet
Holds me close
We are one, the sand and the stars
We need not feel so alone.

Then, the ether
It gathers and expands
As we require
Giving us the space for love
And the gift of dreams.

Don't be afraid of yourself
My friend
We are seeds of time
In the end, entwined
Unburdened and free.
