Springtime In My City

It's my favorite time in the city
This special season feels so rare
Sunbeams of light, birds are singing
Spring is in the air!

Let's go garden in my yard
We can grow veggies, fruits, or plants that flower
Smell the roses, they're sweet like honey!
Come and join us, it's the gardening hour!

I hop on my bike and race down the street
Look at me zoom, zoom, zoom!
I love to feel like I can fly
I'll bike until out comes the moon

I'm headed to the wonder of stories
The library is waiting with my new favorite book
Fantasy, sci-fi, adventure, and more
I cozy inside my little reading nook

Outside the library, oak trees sway with the breeze
Where ducks and turtles roam in the pond
I step on the bridge and admire the glory
Everybody here has a strong bond

I can't wait to dive in the pool
Let's go play and make a big splash
The cool waters refresh my skin
Hey, let's race! Together we dash

So come to my great city
In a day you'll have a year of fun
I feel happy here from dawn until dusk
There's so much to do here, you'll never be done!
