My favorites
Stop, pause, smile, for the seasons pass....
Nasrajan Jalin
Many days I have been staying inside
Away from the cold weather outdoors
I was weak, sitting by the fireside
It's been lonely with none's adores.
There are no voices in the park
Pandemic keeping all away
No kids laugh, nor the dogs bark
People like me are lonely all day.
I move the blinds to see outside,
Sun kissed lawn with cherry blossom
Such a piece of nature's creative side
God! This sight is just awesome!
I prepare my sandwich and the usual treats,
Walk down the street to meet my friend,
I pass the blossoms, the green Ginkgo trees,
With a stop sign placed in front.
The sign reminds me to pause all time
And enjoy the beautiful views,
Watch the flutter, songs, the wind chime
While rushing to fulfill dues.
Tom lost his business in Covid
A rare riches to rags fate
He is forty, should have been avid
Instead he settled for desolate.
We look at the cars zoom past
Nibbled the sandwich and quietly sat
People around us walked fast
We sat still and watched that.
I walked to Kat's graveyard,
Tied for her a bouquet of spring
Told her how lonely I am, pained
A waft of wind around me in full swing.
A drop, a trickle fell on the flowers
As if rain gods knew my heart
My tears blended with the raindrops
I sat there, wet, drenched, melt.
"I miss you dear", I wept..
"There is no rush for me, around.
I try to relish every moment, except
when the time with you was abound.
The rain stopped, a droplet twinkled
On the pink bouquet of blooms
The showers gave a new spirit, kindled
As if I was baptized by the plumes.
I rushed to Tom, "enough, come with me,
This is not where you belong
Find your life ahead, be on your spree
Stop only to think and be along.."
The blooms withered, seasons passed
We are sitting together again
This time, it's Tom's new home at last,
A lawn with pink Cherry blossoms lane.
I walked to Kat, sensed her smile,
Felt sorry, I was busy when she was around
But there is no age to correct a fail
Any time, any day, a fresh rebound...
At me, beamed the spring flowers
Yeah, love the life, stop and smile
For life's like this, it blooms, flourishes
Only to be withered in a while..
