Sunflower

You remind me of a sunflower
Always turning your face toward fresh rays, new hope

I wish I could be a sunflower
Leaning into what's good

But I think I'm more of a creeping vine
Reaching out into the void

But a sunflower needs a supportive stalk
to turn and face the sun

And with a little of your tender care
a vine can grow up just as tall
