It's only been a month of middle school and I feel exhausted already. People say middle school is hard because of the studying, but they are lying straight to your face. Our school is an outdoor campus and I bet if it were raining very hard we would be told to feel stronger and walk to our next class like that. Like, it's just really sad. Trust me middle school isn't what it seems like. People probably told you that middle school is this fun place where each subject has to be the same time no exceptions like in elementary school where teachers would sometimes make one subject 2 hours and the other 30 minutes. Well, they are just trying to trick you. So basically you are forced to do 6 periods daily. Like can you imagine doing math or science for 54 minutes every day. Seriously it's just not it.

My day today was the worst day of my life, like literally. My first class is math. Like who even wants to do math just as they wake up (not me). I swear there are about 10 million questions and every second the teacher asks, "Are you guys done," like we are normal humans not ai robots. She's always like, "it doesn't take that long. You guys should be able to complete it faster." I'm lowkey surprised no one told her to do it. She should remember that we are 6th graders (she expects us to finish the problem like we are college students).  We are not even in high school yet. Bro, she really gotta calm down. She doesn't even think we have a life. She gives us so much homework and thinks that it is too less.

Finally when I somehow finish math, I have to do choir, like don't get me wrong I picked it as my elective. Just think about it having to sing with the tired morning voice is the worst. And just when things couldn't get any worse our choir teacher tells us that we have to sing a 20 second song that each of us wrote for a long ago homework assignment. Remember this, the schedule doesn't just say choir it says beginning choir for beginners. Like how are beginners supposed to sing in front of the whole class like they are Lara from Katseye or something (like we ain't no sirens). When the others sing it sound so good and their songs actually make sense, while it would take 10 centuries for someone to understand my lyrics (I thought it was just a boring homework assignment, so I wrote random lyrics, but now we have to sing it.) I swear I thought everyone was laughing at me when I sung, but luckily it finished faster than expected.

Then we have break also known as eat all you can. I always eat, but it's never really worth it. Why you ask. Well my third period is PE, so after I eat all of those calories just die and I'm always starving by fourth period. Well you're probably thinking it's not that bad, well it is the bad when you combine it with the next thing I'm about to tell you. Every day we have to run a lap which is a fourth of a mile and we only have 3 minutes to complete it or else we fail. On Fridays we have to run a whole mile in under 13 minutes. (They expect us not to get tired for some random, boring reason.) Who wants to run a whole mile on their favorite day of the week, also known as the last day of school for the week. They want us to have broken legs during the weekends, which sounds really wicked.

Now that I am officially starving, it's time for fourth period. Which is... drum roll please science. The one and only science. It's so perfect because I can't think of anything ‘cause of my stomach and we have to study hard for science. We keep having tests. Who even wants to deal with a strict teacher on an empty stomach. Lunch is right around the corner and the teacher is always saying the worst line. "The bell doesn't dismiss you, I do." Like bro, then what is the bell for, sound effects. I'm pretty sure we've all had that one teacher who says that. But seriously before lunch, that's just messed up, like my life. To make it worse the chairs are so high, that your feet don't even touch the ground. It gets really hard to balance on these chairs. My stomach always starts growling like a chemical reaction just happened. I swear bro, kids at my table are always looking at me when my stomach growls like a zombie on the loose. Finally the lunch bell rings and she stares into our souls and says, "give me one more minute." Like that is just the whole climax of a 10/10 rated drama. After 5 minutes she lets us go and the line is longer than Mount Everest. It looks like there are kids from all over the world here to eat lunch at our school. Just to make it any worse, the kids keep letting their friends cut with them and the line doesn't even move a single millimeter. I have to stand for 10 minutes with a backpack that weighs more than me, just to get food. I finally manage to finish my food and head to my next class early.

It's my teacher for period 5 and 6. Since it's social science and language arts, we have the same teacher for both periods. She really thinks she is cool, but she ain't. The bell rings and everyone gets to their seats. We all know that it's the last 2 hours of school and that we want to get out of here as soon as possible. Everyone is ready for the worst expected, but we never knew she would give us another pop quiz. Apparently she thinks we don't focus in class (which is partially true). We still try though and nobody gets higher than an 80% like never. The quiz always has stuff that was never in the textbook and usually on top of the quiz it says ChatGPT generated and on the bottom it says, "if you need any more suggestions for a hard high school quiz on developing agriculture and starting to domesticate animals, you can let me know." I'm pretty sure most teachers actually look at textbooks and give grade appropriate questions that we actually studied instead of a pop quiz for high school. She literally forgot that we are in middle school. Then, when someone whispers to their friend saying, "Do we really have to do this?" She always says out loud, "If you guys don't want to do it, don't do it. It will be easier for me, because I won't have to grade the papers I can just write a big zero." She always says that with a smile. She really thought she ate that up. She thinks she is funny, but that just sounds messed up. Nobody in our class even likes her. They all act kind, but they don't want to. They just don't want to be in trouble. After 5th period, 6th period starts. Who wants to do language arts when they can just go home instead. By this time, people usually have to use the restroom. She just made a new rule that whoever goes to the bathroom in her class has to stay for 10 minutes after school. Like people only used the restroom for 1 minute and they have to owe 10 minutes, only because they had to go bad. That does not even make sense. Then she decides to go full sabotage mode on us and asks us what we read yesterday. Like girl, we have other classes too. You are not our only teacher. We always struggle and she tells us that we don't focus is her class and starts bragging about her 1st and 2nd period, saying that they are so good, responsible, and focusing unlike us. She doesn't remember that school is almost over and we want to go home and enjoy. Finally after 2 hours with her school ends and everyone is so happy. We all run out of the classroom feeling the freedom we just obtained.

Just like that, that is what every day goes like at school. Some may like it, but some may not. But there is nothing we can do about it. We still have to go to school no matter what. Bye, I have to do my dozens of homework now.
