In the beautiful town of Ludwig, there were a lot of trees. There lived an 11 year old boy named Johnny. Johnny liked to do science and learn new things.

One day Johnny went for a morning walk in his neighborhood. He saw litter on the pathway everywhere. He saw cans, food, bottles and cardboard. It was a smelly mess. It did not look good. Johnny was feeling sad. Johnny thought, "This is so messy. I think I can do something."

Johnny discussed the problem with his good friend Brooklyn. Johnny said, "All of this litter is making our town so dirty!" Then, Brooklyn gave him an idea, "Why don't we make signs and put it on the side of the road? The signs will say, ‘Don't litter!'"

The next day, when people saw the signs, some people followed it and put it in the trash bin. Some people broke the rules and did not put it in the trash bin!

Johnny was sad again! This time he thought of his own idea. He will make small poster cards and put it on the front door of every house. It will say, ‘Please throw trash in the waste bin'. In the morning, when people saw the signs on their door, they realized their mistakes. Next time, they threw their trash away in the waste bins. Johnny was so happy to see that all the people followed the rules.

Ludwig's roads now look nice and clean. The people of Ludwig thanked Johnny and his team for making Ludwig beautiful again! Johnny and his team gave themselves a big hi-five. Johnny said "We all need to be part of Earth heroes to save our mother Earth!"
