The Garden of Eden

The Garden of Eden
From one bite, my name is slandered
By everyone from the strong to the weak
Sun's descent came as my teeth sank into the fruit
The world froze under a sheet of bleak
Tornadoes came and storms raged, such as He
The snake's body wrapped around my neck
And up to my ear, it whispered to me
"You know everything now."
His damning finger points at me
In His glare, I can not recognize His eyes
For the illusion of sparks of Heavenly light
Were the flames from the land down under
I questioned what appeared before my sight
In my hand was the red apple so forbidden
Bitter was its skin, but sweet was the inside
And too great for a woman like me to possess
He's here with an inferno in His eyes
But I know everything now
And I left into the wasteland alone
The villain in your history and a hero in mine
Eden was a lie, and I could never be free
If I could never be wise, what is the purpose of life
To wander aimlessly, dumb, in His garden
I bite into a fruit to see past the perfect crime
A sacrificial lamb to be nothing but a mother
Mindless child-maker, I refuse in my lifetime
Because I know everything now
