The Willow Tree

I feel happy and calm under a willow tree

where I can think about so many things.

I give thanks to the Lord as I sit quietly

and watch the colorful birds flap their wings.

From high in the sky, the sun filters down on me,

and I close my eyes as the willow tree sings.

Sometimes I feel a little sad and empty,

but to all bright and happy my heart desperately clings.

I breath in the sweet smelling air so deeply,

and enjoy the beauty that nature brings.

I like to create art and read stories silently,

where I go on adventures with dragons and kings.

I feel safe and comfortable under a wide and protective canopy.

A lovely spot, my resting place, the willow tree.
