Is it in the month of may
Is it when the flowers are blooming and the sun is bright
Or on a night with you screaming in fright
What do you hear on a perfect day
Are they the sweet sounds of a mocking jay
Are they the yells of a person shrieking in pain
Or the complaints of a queen who is totally vain
What do you sing on a perfect day
Will you sing a ballad of joyous play
Will it be a melody of peace and hope
Or will it be the cry of someone born to mope
What will you eat on a perfect day
Would it be a happy, delicious meal
Or is it some thing that will make you kneel over and keel
What will you feel on your perfect day
Will you harbor a feeling as you've been given a hug full of love
Or will you feel as if you've been beaten with a spiked glove
